Alfons MUCHA (Ivancice 1860 – Prague 1939)
The Jugendstil artist Alfons Mucha is known for his recognizable, graceful and fresh style. His oeuvre consists mainly of posters, but he also designed furniture, costumes and jewellery. Mucha worked for several years in Paris, after which he returned to the Czech Republic and in 1928 donated an important part of his collection to the city of Prague.
