Barovier Toso & Co

Barovier was the name of a glass manufacturer that started in 1295. Glass manufacturer Ferro Toso started towards the end of the nineteenth century, after being founded under the name Francesco Ferro & Figlio. Because of the First World War, the factory moved temporarily to Naples under the name SAIAR Ferro Toso and around 1918 it returned to Murano. In 1936 the factory joined Barovier & Co, which eventually resulted in the name Barovier Toso & Co. Today, Barovier & Toso is known for glassware such as vases and extravagant chandeliers.
