With his work Berend Hoekstra seeks the middle ground between a form of inspired mythical visual language and an intuitive working method. Transformation of form and a loaded content is central to his artistic attitude and provides the viewer with a viewing experience in which he is constantly confronted with the dynamic process that involves viewing.
