Co BREMAN (Zwolle 1865 - Laren 1938)

Co Breman was educated at the Academy in Brussels. In 1897 he moved to Blaricum, then to Laren, where he was part of the painters belonging to the Larense School. Breman painted carefully composed landscapes, farms, colorful interiors and figures bathed in sunlight. Together with F. Hart Nibbrig, he was one of the first painters in the Netherlands to work in the pointillist technique. Museums: ao Singer Museum in Laren and Frans Hals Museum in Haarlem.
