Frank ROSEN (Amersfoort 1946)
Painter, graphic artist, sculptor, set painter.
Education:
From 1964 to 1968 Rosen was educated at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam.
After his studies, Frank Rosen worked for about sixteen years as a set designer, designer for television programs and costume designer for musicals and ballet performances. He also acted as an art director in the production of several films. From 1985 he focused on his autonomous work, while continuing to look for variety. He makes paintings, graphics, sculptures and ceramics, both free and on commission. His work is abstract, colorful and romantic. Beauty and life serve as his inspiration.
Exhibitions and prizes:
Frank Rosen's work has been exhibited several times at home and abroad, including in Paris, Jerusalem, Gerona and Düsseldorf. Many of his sculptures can also be found in Dutch public space.
