Biography

Gaston Bogaert was a Belgian surrealist painter. He was also known by the pseudonym Capouillard. From 1938, after studying architecture, Bogaert focused on interior design, theater and advertising graphics, including drawing posters. In 1965 he became a professional artist.

Exhibitions and prizes

At the 1978 Eurocon he won in the category "Fantastic & Fantasy Award" as an artist.

His work is in the collection of, among others, the Royal Museum of Fine Arts and the Rockefeller Art Center in New York.
