Hendrik SHEEP (Delft, 1878 - Rotterdam, 1955)

Hendrik Schaap was educated at the Technical University of Delft, the city he left when he continued his career in Rotterdam in 1911. There he became known as a painter of cityscapes of the city of Rotterdam. He painted the historic buildings, bridges and harbors in a smooth impressionist style. Apart from his education at the École des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, he lived and worked in Rotterdam for the rest of his life.
