In 1992, following an idea by Francesco Illy, a group of artists expressed their creativity on the surface of a coffee cup designed by Matteo Thun for illy. This is how the first illy Art Collection was created, which transformed an object from everyday life into a white canvas that more than 100 artists of international renown, great masters and young talents have ventured into.
Twenty-five years later, the protagonists of contemporary art are still inspired by the white surface of the illy coffee cup and make drinking an espresso an experience that stimulates the senses and the mind.
