born Elburg January 4, 1820, Died Apeldoorn April 6, 1879.Was a student of H. van de Sande Bakhuyzen and attended Academy for BK in The Hague (1843-1852). Became a member of the Royal Academy in Amsterdam in 1852. Worked in The Hague (1843-1852), Amsterdam (1854-1855), The Hague (1857-1864) and afterwards in Apeldoorn.Landscape painter, etcher and lithographer.Drawing teacher at the Koningsschool in Apeldoorn.
