Jan Snoeck was educated at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.
He lived and worked alternately in the Netherlands and France.
After his training, Jan Snoeck worked for several years as a sculptor in the Netherlands. In 1953 Snoeck worked for a year at Zadkine in Paris. After working as a sculptor for several years, his passion for clay arose in the early 1960s. In the past Snoeck worked with stone, wood, bronze and metal. Later he worked almost exclusively with ceramics, but that was eventually switched to metal.
Snoeck also made screen prints and applied work such as the multiples. These works are widely used by companies and institutions as promotional gifts.
