Joseph Morris Raphael (1869-1950) was an American impressionist painter and graphic artist. In 1903 he moved to Paris where he enrolled at two art academies. After his education he lived in the Netherlands, including Laren. After his marriage he moved to Uccle and in 1929 he settled in Oegstgeest. At that time he was a member of the Kunstkring Leiden.
