Laurens BRAAMS was born in 1913 (The Hague). He studied for 5 years at the Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague. He was a student of Georges Hogerwaard and Henk Meijer. His subjects were the landscape, cityscapes and the peasant genre. He mainly worked in Oostkapelle and Veere. He was a painter, etcher and draftsman.
