Marcel SCHELLEKENS (Soerendonk 1954)

Schellekens was educated at the graphics department of the Academy of Visual Arts in Utrecht. Since 1986 his work has been shown in galleries throughout the Netherlands and later also abroad.

Marcel Schellekens has specialized in the etching technique and has developed his own working method over the years. He works with 3 different etching plates for the basic colors red, yellow and blue. By pressing them on top of each other, a rich range of color shades is created. This has yielded a large number of characteristics graph. Schellekens has also been making paintings with oil on canvas for a number of years.
