Mark Manders is an artist from the Netherlands who has created various installations, sculptures, drawings and short films. His works are all part of a large whole, which he considers his self-portrait. Different materials are used for the creation of his works. This includes, for example, chimneys, dead animals, walls and chairs.
His self-portrait is exhibited in several parts, where the viewer can give his own interpretation to the artwork. Although the artist incorporates his own ideas and thoughts into his works, it is also possible to give his own interpretation to Mark Manders' drawings. One of the first exhibitions the artist had was in Park Sonsbeek in the year 1993.
