Education: Metten Koornstra studied at the academy for visual arts in Rotterdam.
He lived and worked in Rotterdam and Paris and from 1937 in Amsterdam.
Metten Koornstra was a graphic artist and painter of tranquil landscapes and figures. He also made many illustrations for books and designed book covers. Metten Koornstra was a well-known artist throughout his life.
