Michelle Veldman
Michelle Veldman started her career with a study in museology at the Reinwardt Academy. She was then working on an exhibition about glass blowers and was inspired to follow a six-month study program in Mechelen to learn more about glass. She then became a heritage specialist and was employed by the National Glass Museum in Leerdam. In 2016 she decided to blow glass there herself. Veldman makes her own glass art under the name Mies , inspired by environments and experiences. She also combines glass art with other materials to create installations.
