Education:
Mynke Buskens was educated at the Academy of Art Teachers in Tilburg and at the Minvera Academy in Groningen.
She lives and works in Den Bosch.
Myne Buskens graduated in painting and graphics, but mainly makes drawings. Her work is characterized by the use of a black and white contrast and by the monumental size. The subject of her drawings is often nature or architecture, with which she searches for the boundary between figuration and abstraction. Buskens is also a teacher at AKV/St. Joost.
Exhibitions and prizes:
Mynke Buskens' work has been exhibited in the Noord Brabants Museum (in the permanent collection), Museum Jan Cunen, Museum Bommel van Dam, Museum de Fundatie, Museum Het Valkhof and in the Teylers Museum.
