Peter Bremers (1957)

Artist

Peter Bremers is a versatile artist and designer, born in 1957 in Maastricht. At art school he developed a passion for three-dimensional art and experimented with light and sculpture. Light, color and form have always remained important themes in his work. When he got to know Andries Copier, Willem and Bernard Heesen at the Jan van Eyck Academy, Bremers became acquainted with glass art. From the end of the eighties he immersed himself in glassblowing techniques and the possibilities that glass offered for his art practices. Bremers is a world traveler and is inspired by his travels. His use of the (double) grail technique is known, in which several layers of glass, both colored and clear, are combined. He also uses casting techniques.
