Ton Vroman (1948)
TON VROMAN (born 3-8-1948), graphic artist, draftsman, painter. Education: Academy of fine arts “Artibus“ in Utrecht (1965-1970). In addition to his work in health care as (main) activity supervisor (1973-2007), Ton Vroman has always been active as an artist. His works are generally abstract with sometimes some figuration. Quote from Ton Vroman: “The red thread in my paintings, sketches and drawings is a process of wonder. I must be able to continue to surprise myself, it is a search for the invisible behind the visible. The wonder is translated into form, color and space. Painting is a game of image associations, suggestion, metaphors, symbols, texts, subtexts and meanings”.
