Mario Badioli started working with Ermanno Nason's Magezza IVM in the 1950s and learned and/or worked with Angelo Fuga, Fratelli Pitau and Obal. In the eighties Badioli set up his own workshop. This gave him the opportunity to experiment as well as to respond to the wishes of his customers in the short term. Badioli's style is characterized by the use of strips and drops of glass as an ornament on the basic shape of the object. His son Francesco joined his father in 1969, turning Badioli into a family business. In 2010, cousin Mattia Nasta also joined.
