Vilmos HUSZAR (Budapest 1884 - 1960 Harderwijk)
Vilmos Huszar was a Hungarian painter who later worked a lot in the Netherlands. He was one of the founders of the artist group De Stijl. Huszar was an artistically versatile artist who was also a draftsman, sculptor and graphic designer. He meant a lot to the abstract art movement, but soon had enough. His later works in particular are therefore a lot more naturalistic, including a number of landscapes. Works by Huszar are on display in the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and the Kröller-Müller Museum, among others.
