Wim STERRENBURG (Oosterbeek 1927 - Haarlem 2012)
His work can be characterized as abstracted figuratively because he found it better to express his character sketches in it. Characteristic of his work is that he translated all impressions from his life, on the street and during his travels, into 'portraits'. People as well as landscapes and architecture. Thanks to his photographic memory, he was able to translate the literal images he had absorbed into himself in this way. He also always had materials with him to make drawings.
