Aatjan Renders (born 1956) attended the “School for Photography and Photonics” in The Hague. He worked from 1979-1982 at “Chanowski Audio-Visual Productions” in Amsterdam. Today he lives and works as an independent photographer in Amsterdam. Aatjan Renders made photos for companies such as AkzoNobel, Amnesty International, Siemens Europe, PSV NV and for various graphic designers, design agencies and advertising agencies. QUOTE from Aatjan Renders: “Actually, I still shoot the way I once started, looking for a strange horizon in good weather and portraying it. I like to hold onto that innocence. At the same time, it's about giving a twist to what you see, offering an image that takes you into the story. It is not a conscious search for something strange or abstract. Spontaneity remains important. However, through years of experience and various assignments I can add control: technical control of course, but also control over what I want to portray.
