Anton ROSEN (Horsens 1859 - Copenhagen 1928)
Designer Anton Rosen was known as the designer of the Palace Hotel in Copenhagen and as chief architect of Landsudstillingen in 1909. For the Palace Hotel he designed furniture inspired by the building. It is most likely that Rosen was aware of the developments at silversmith Georg Jensen. In 1917 he designed an Arts & Crafts style silver bowl that was put into production at Jensen. He later made several designs for the company. Rosen was inspired by both modernism in Western Europe and art from Japan. His style changed from the 1920s, when he made less use of decoration.
