Education:
Arjanne Fakkel studied graphics and illustration at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.
She lives and works in Leiden.
Arjenne Fakkel makes simple images in cheerful color tones. By using minimal lines, her images get clarity. She often uses only a few, light colors. The minimal line and Torch's use of color result in a humorous effect, which at the same time can also provide a critical view of society, of situations in which people sometimes find themselves. The message is not thick on top, which makes the viewer think.
