Bodi (1950)
Artist
BODI was born in 1950, and grew up in Brabant (the Netherlands) Right after secondary school he started drawing in black and white in a pointillist manner. Years of study and experiments followed, in which he initially used colour pencils and gouache. Later he turned to the brush and acrylic paint training his technique by immersing himself in art history.
While working in seclusion from the mainstream, Bodi felt guided and challenged alike by paintings of the Old Masters and the Decorative Arts of the West and the East. Like the Romantic artists, he stood alone in his yearning to digest and convert knowledge from the past centuries up to the present.
After graduating in Semitic languages and cultures at Leiden University in 1990, Bodi became a discrete yet much appreciated artist with a close circle of admirers. In recent years he studied at the Institute of Psycho-energetics of Dr. Peter Schellenbaum in Switzerland.
He is a member of the core team of Enjoin Partners.
