Cornelis de Lorm (1875-1942)

At the beginning of the twentieth century, decorative artist and designer Cornelis de Lorm (1875-1942) worked as a furniture designer at Firma De Woning under W. Penaat and J. Eisenloeffel. He then worked as a writer for PTT, where he also designed the corporate identity. From 1916 to 1929 De Lorm worked at the De Zonnebloem art dealership in The Hague. During that period he made designs for various glass pre-works for the glass factory in Leerdam. From 1923 until the 1930s he also worked as a designer for Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland, mainly for utility pottery. He designed the Zonnebloem service.
