Frits Lensfelt, born in 1886, was an architect, painter and graphic artist. His work is often associated with the theatre, because of his designs for stage sets and his time as a costume teacher at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam. He also designed books and made illustrations. In the period 1927-1928 he worked as a designer at the glass factory Leerdam. Lensfelt then made lamps with lower shells that reflect light in an upper shell.
