Jan Forrer was born in 1925 in Hillegom. He attended the St Joost Academy in Breda and the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam. He was an etcher, engraver, lithographer and draftsman. He also taught at the Academy. His subjects were figure representations, landscapes and portraits. .He died in 1993 in Bussum.
