Monique MOL (Gentbrugge 1939)
Monique Mol studied at the Westhoek Academy in Koksijde, where she was taught by Jef Mouton and Bob Stikkers, among others. She worked as a sculptor, painter, and ceramicist, with a preference for figurative representations. Her best-known sculptures are bronzes of children and female figures, often produced in limited editions. Mol created several public works, including the series of comic strip sculptures along the Zeedijk in Middelkerke, featuring figures such as Lambik, Jerom, Natasja, and Agent 212. She also created religious sculptures and commissions for municipalities in Belgium and the South of France.
