Oskar MANIGK (Berlin 1934)
After high school he trained as a carpenter (1953–1956). He then studied briefly at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee (1956–1957) and at the Institut für Kunsterziehung at the Ernst Moritz Arndt University in Greifswald (1957–1958).
From the 1960s onwards, Manigk developed an expressive-figurative style, often executed on large-format paper
