Participant of the 2005 Biennale of Fine Painting is certainly not least Paul Vincent BOELENS (1958, Amstel). At the age of fifteen, Boelens was accepted as the youngest student ever at the National Academy of Fine Arts. Like an old master, Paul uses his brush and transports the viewer to another, fairytale-like world. Like Andre van Buuren, Paul also likes humor in his paintings, but in his own way. For example, in the painting 'A nose length lead', we see an elephant with a long trunk on a solex in front of a small mouse at the start of the race.
