Thomas SANDELL (Jacobstad 1959)
Thomas Sandell, born in Finland, moved to Sweden when he was born. From 1981 to 1985 he studied architecture in Stockholm. He also worked in the architecture studio of Jan Henriksson. From 1990 Sandell had his own architecture and design studio where he received many commissions. Sandell also designed furniture for Artek, Asplund, Kälemo and others and worked on IKEA's PS series. Its simple yet practical and stylistic designs bring vitality to Swedish design.
