Alain Bonnefoit - Litho, Liggend vrouw. - Sold

Alain Bonnefoit (French, 1937) was a painter, engraver and sculptor. Born in Montmartre, he studied at the École des Arts Appliqués and the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and Brussels, in the department of Engraving and Sculpture. He spent the next few years working, traveling and developing his artistic style. Between 1961 and 1963 he worked in the studio of sculptor Antoniucci Volti, who became his mentor. In 1964, he began creating what would become his signature figure: the female nude. In 1965 he moved to Tuscany, but remained in his studio in Paris.
