Iconic screen print by Marilyn, after a publicity photo for the 1953 film Niagara . The screen print is partly provided with 'silver print'.
The work is not signed or numbered, but is posthumously stamped on the back with the estate stamp, the stamp of the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. These "printer proofs" were a reference for the actual print, and were used for exhibitions and to promote the series. Since it is a proof, there may be minor differences, damage and/or stains (from the printing processes). For example, the blue background is not completely smooth, but contains a few spots of lighter blue.
