1984 - Afgestudeerd aan de Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten te Den Haag
2001 - Lidmaatschap Schilderkundig Genootschap Pulchri Studio, Den Haag
Werkzaam als (senior-)docent bij het Koorenhuis, Centrum voor kunst en cultuur, Den HaagMonumentale vormen in architectuur en landschap, geaccentueerd door een sterk licht/donker- contrast, bepalen het beeld in de litho's en pastels van Ardi Brouwer.
Door het innemen van een hoog standpunt, het isoleren en hergroeperen van gebouwen en het spelen met de lichtbron haalt zij het onderwerp los van de werkelijkheid.
De ruimtelijke basisvorm bepaalt de compositie. Het gekozen licht versterkt de plasticiteit en is sfeerbepalend. Schaduwen die ontstaan zijn extra vormen om mee te componeren.
