● Arkadiy Kurta was born in Ukraine in 1977 and graduated from the Kiev School of Photography in 2007.
● With each click of his shutter, Kurta breaks with tradition and gives us a glimpse into how women play with ideas of freedom and desire. His photos deviate from everyday norms, allowing us to view the world through the eyes of an audacious and committed artist.
● What Kurta’s art reveals most is that a compelling nude photograph is one that exposes both the body and the soul. His photos challenge the uneasy balance between the beauty of the female form and the anger its depiction provokes among the apostles of ‘political correctness.’
