Ik prepareer mijn meestal grote maat doeken met een zwarte huid, de contouren zijn niet geschilderd maar uitgespaard zodat de zwarte achtergrond zichtbaar blijft. Laag voor laag worden de lichte plekken van zwart naar licht geschilderd, een tijdrovende techniek maar het resultaat geeft een bijzondere structuur.

Recent experimenteer ik met zwart- wit, 3 kleuren verf; zwart, warm wit en koud wit, ik vind de uitdaging van deze beperking heel spannend.
