Born in Edam on September 2, 1877, died in Voorburg on January 31, 1963. Lived and worked in Edam, Amsterdam, and The Hague until 1929, and then in Voorburg. Student at the Drawing School in Edam and the National Normal School in Amsterdam (1894-1898). Painted, drew, and lithographed landscapes, cityscapes, topography (the Voorburg area), and still lifes.
