Figural Candlestick Base – Putto with Drapery, France, 19th Century
A cast candlestick base depicting a young figure (putto) holding a fluted flower-shaped socket above the head. France, circa 1870–1890. Solid cast with circular base, decorated with repeating foliate motifs. Height: approx. 18 cm. Stamped underside with the number “540.”
Condition: surface wear, oxidation, and patina consistent with age; signs of former use visible at the socket; casting imperfections present.
