Dirk Cornelis Elffers, also known as Dick Cornelis Elffers, was born on December 9, 1910 in Rotterdam. He died in Amsterdam on 17 June 1990. Elffers was also a designer at the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, specializing in graphic design and exhibition design. His son Joost Elffers was a writer, visual artist and illustrator.
