Dolf Verlinden - Zeefdruk, zonder titel - Sold

Since Dolf Verlinden graduated from Academy Minerva in 1984, he has lived and worked in the city of Groningen. Central to the exhibition is the theme that has occupied Verlinden for 10 years now: space. In his work, the artist searches for answers to questions such as: where exactly does a work of art end? How does it relate to the space around it? And how do you connect mathematical forms and principles with intuition and feeling? This quest is expressed in works of art that are dominated by simple lines and geometric patterns, but are never impersonal. Painting plays the main role, but Verlinden is not afraid to experiment with unconventional materials. For example, the exhibition contains paintings from which wooden slats protrude and a roof hatch with tension straps around it.
