Beautiful screen print by Doris Groeneveld from 1978. Number: 8/40. Title: West Frisian Zeedijk with weed and reeds. Tabletop dimensions: H70 x W70 cm. The work is signed lower right, in pencil, by the artist. Condition: in good condition. The work has been framed because it is very slightly discolored within the edges of the old passe-partout, properly framed with a new passe-partout, this is no longer noticeable. 'West Frisian Zeedijk', screen print by Doris Groeneveld Doris Groeneveld (1938-2016) developed herself into an artist in the 1970s. He settled in Bergen and sought artistic connection with the Bergen School. In 1976, Doris joined Drukkerstroost, a graphic society with 20 members, who were part of the Kunstenaarscentrum Bergen. Among them: Noor Sternheim, Peter Bes, Nico van Stralen and Leentje Linders. He traveled all over the world and worked out his travel impressions in the studio, using Bergen and the surrounding area as a reference point. In his 'West Frisian period' he spent years restlessly searching for the primal elements in the landscape: space, light, land and water and the border between them.
