Egbert Schaap (1862-1939) was a Dutch artist from Nigtevecht. He trained at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten and the Rijksnormaalschool voor Teetekenonderwijzers (National Academy of Fine Arts) in Amsterdam. Schaap lived and worked throughout his life in Vreeland, Amsterdam, Kortenhoef, 's-Graveland, and Ankeveen, among other places. He primarily created landscapes and cityscapes.
