Frisse aquarel van de hand van Fred Hemmes voorstellende een gestyleerd weidelandschap.
Hemmes: 'Mijn werk laveert voortdurend tussen abstractie en figuratie. In mijn visie zijn deze richtingen niet tegengesteld aan elkaar, maar vullen ze elkaar aan. Voor beide geldt ook dat de inspiratiebronnen te vinden zijn in natuur en landschap, en, zeker als het abstract werk betreft, in het schildersmateriaal zelf, de werking van de uitvloeiende verf. Schilderijen die op deze manier gemaakt zijn, vormen geen afbeelding, maar zijn a.h.w. zelf een natuurverschijnsel.' (bron: website Fred Hemmes)
