Hans Wap (Rotterdam, 18 July 1943) is a Dutch visual artist, active as a screen printer, woodcut maker, graphic designer, illustrator, wall painter, draftsman, painter, poet, and maker of gouaches.
Wap studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rotterdam from 1963 to 1965, and subsequently established himself as a visual artist in Rotterdam.
Hans Wap worked closely with the Scapino Ballet in Rotterdam, for which he designed several sets in the early 1990s.
Wap creates both figurative and surrealist work and is known for his versatility.
He had a relationship with artist Simone Dettmeijer for several years.
