Hendrikus Elias Roodenburg is geboren in het jaar 1895 te Den Haag.
Leerling van Graficus Ch.L. Zilcken.
Werd gezien als een van de grootste topografisch etser van de vorige eeuw. Was lid van de kunstenaarsverenigingen Arti et Amicitea te Amsterdam en Pulchri studio te Den Haag.
In het jaar 1987 overleed hij in Wassenaar.
