Herman Brood was a Dutch rock star in the 1970s and 1980s and quite a controversial public figure due to his drug use. In the 90s Brood stopped with music and decided to focus on his painting career. He mainly worked in large formats and used strong colors and graffiti. The use of primary colors was highly necessary as the artist was color blind.
