Soms valt je oog op een werk van een relatief onbekende kunstenaar en ben je op slag verliefd. Dat geldt voor mij voor deze ets van de Japanse kunstenaar Hiroshi Asada. Aquatint ets op Arches papier, met potlood gesigneerd en genummerd (45/99). In uitstekende conditie.
Afmetingen: 66cm x 50cm (blad), 40cm x 40cm (beeld)
Asada was een tijd woonachtig in Frankrijk, en waarschijnlijk is deze ets in die periode gemaakt (1971-1982). Het werk past ook perfect in zijn hyper-realistische / surrealistische stijl van die tijd. Voor een interessant (engelstalig) artikel over Asada, zie:
