Horacio Sapere Horacio Sapere (Buenos Aires, 1951) has lived and worked in Mallorca since 1974 and has had a studio in New York since 2011. Artist who worked in various media throughout his career, initially developing his creative process through theater and performance (1970-1980), later transforming his vocabulary into visual poetry (1976-1982) and eventually focusing on painting and sculpture. In the early 1980s, his painting rejected figurative content and opted for abstraction, affirming a clear three-dimensional vocation through the integration of mirrors, cardboard and material elements, while at the same time introducing moving parts that allow a process of magical recreation of certain areas outside everyday reality. He has had exhibitions in capitals such as Cairo, Vienna and Warsaw, as well as participation in group exhibitions and participation in major contemporary art fairs. His work is part of museum and private collections.
